If you are seeking supervision towards full clinical licensure then let us start by saying: Congratulations! Completing your masters program and initial licensure exam are huge accomplishments. Deciding on who will be your clinical supervisor is the next step in your journey.
We strive to provide a safe and encouraging environment to help you grow and build confidence in your new profession. The goal of clinical supervision is to engage in the practice skills and knowledge necessary for independent clinical work. Ethics, best practices, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment will be focus areas throughout the supervisory period. Structured individual and group supervision meetings are offered with organized documentation to maintain compliance with board requirements for approval of hours.
Supervision Eligibility Requirements
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Texas Administrative Code: Title 22, Part 34, Chapter 781, Subchapter C
Apply and obtain approval from the board for clinical supervision
Complete 3000 hours in a professional clinical employment position (100 hours of clinical supervision) in no less than 24 months. Employment must be clinical with key clinical tasks including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
Maintain documentation of supervision content and hours
Next Steps
Our clinical supervision rate is $75 per hour for a total of $300 a month, covering the board required 4-hour monthly supervision mandate. Supervision is structured as a combination of 1 monthly 2-hour individual and 1 monthly 2-hour group block of time.
